West Central Iowa | I have seen their ads for years and they have a pretty good website. I have never seen one of their building before and wondering if anyone has one or know someone who has one. I see they offer all steel or wood framed building with all sorts of options and price levels. It says they have warehouses in Breese and Farmer City, Illinois. http://www.strat-o-span.com/page3.php |

SC Nebraska | We put up one a couple years ago...a 50x100 wood frame. Good price and good materials. Had good plans that we could follow. If you have any specific questions I will answer them. |

West Central Iowa | That's about the size I was looking at, probably a wood framed one. Price seems low for the specs and sizes listed, so my main questions are about the quality of materials. It doesn't say what gauge the metal panels are or the truss load ratings. I'm sure a call to them would answer my questions, but looking for comments from those who have them. It would be nice to read through their instruction sheet. Did you put it up yourself? I would put up a 16 foot sidewall and wonder what all would be required to do that. Any comments about your building experience with them is appreciated. |

Eastern North Carolina | Wonder why they posted a picture of a white and green Morton building in they're ad, they blanked out the coupla and the "M" in the gable.... |

Seaford, Delaware | Your right! I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. That sure sends up a red flag for me!

SC Nebraska | Ours was 26ga metal. Ours was 16' sidewall as well, with a 30' door in the side and 24' in the end. Truss load ratings I don't remember off the top of my head, but I know we deemed the ratings to be adequate. The wood all seemed to be of decent quality, some warping. The main posts twisted a little too after they sat around a bit. I think we would have been fine on this if we would have gotten it up a little quicker and the materials didn't sit around as long as they did.
We put it up ourselves. We used a winch truck to lift the trusses and rented an all terrain lift and used that for the rest of the work. All told we maybe spent 10-14 total days on it, scattered over a few months. That was the biggest problem was trying to find the extra time to do it.
Overall we were happy with it and I can't think of any major drawbacks on it. I am sure someone that has the knowledge to do it better than us could have slapped it up a lot quicker, but we were figuring out as we went.
If you do go forward with it, make sure and take the time to make sure you are getting everything squared up to begin with, we took extra time to get this done, and didn't regret it.
We use it for machinery storage, so it fills the bill on that.
I will see if I can't look up the plans we had with ours in the next few days, I am out of town right now but I will do it as soon as I get home. |

SC Nebraska | That is...wow I don't know what to say about that. Looks like they let a 4 year old blank that stuff out, that is embarrassing. Like I said, we got exactly what was promised us. |

So. IL | Take a look at their Breese IL facility any you will know exactly why they use other companys building in their pictures and not their own! |

| I live in Breese and know what you'er saying ekeller2 not pretty to look at. |

Edgeley, ND | I just couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore. Reading this I see terms like "it seems adequate" or" seems okay" or " the price is not too bad". This is a ONCE in a lifetime investment for most of us so why do people try to cut corners and then wonder why thier building is scattered across the fields when the first storm comes up. I have had the opportunity to rebuild because I had built the first time cheaper |

| I went up to Pa. to look at their buildings a few years ago and was not impressed. Nothing real bad just not a very high quality building, you get what you pay for, usually. |

SW WA | While they have the Morton Bldg. up on their web site for 'comparison', do just that. The Morton has finished eaves, apparently, the Strat-o-Span has no overhangs. That could make a difference as to how long the building will last and you impression of its quality, depending upon your location.
