NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Called to get some prices on tractor tires this morning. Dealer quoted some fairly attractive prices on some "Alliance". I have never heard of them, he says Michelin make them. Any feedback from anyone out there on them? Thanks, Mark

Remsen, Iowa | I have a set of 4 on a 4650. They were on it when I got the tractor. I have no idea as to how many hours are on them. I have had to replace one due to a side wall crack. Looks as if the others may face the same deal before the tread is worn off. I got this tractor in 2006, at the time, tires looked as if they had lots of tread life left on them. Five years later seams to have more tread wear them I would have guessed it would have this far down the road. We do not put many highway mile on the thing.

central sask | They are made in Isreal. Their radials (model 356 and 360) are/were VERY good tires. Have sold hundreds of the model 360 in Bias and Radials( mostly 30.5X32's). They used to make the Radial 70's for B.F.G or Bridgestone. Model 347's were good as well. Have not been able source them for the past year but hoping to get a few containers of the radials here before harvest.

Chilliwack BC | We got 4 28L26 put on a manure spreader yesterday. The dealer (a large chain) guaranteed them and will stand behind them. The manure spreader manufacturer has some and would have sold them to us as well. They are not Michelin.

We had a pair on a feed wagon. They both developed air bubbles under the tread. Alliance was the only manufacturer to make that particular size and they were like $800 a piece. I measured it out and found semi-truck rims had the same bolt spacing so it was cheaper to buy a pair of rims and two new truck tires to put on the wagon.

Greene County, Illinois | ry0972 is right, they are made in Isreal. I put one on a front wheel assist loader tractor about 6 months ago. It seems to be doing fine, except it has a little different bars than the Goodyear on the other side, enough that you notice it going down a highway.

I am a hay farmer in TN and consultant to Alliance Tire Americas. I've had good luck with them personally and have heard very favorable comments from other farmers and tire dealers. Alliance has plants in Israel and India and places a very strong emphasis on R&D and quality. Alliance was really the originator of ag flotation tires and today has very technologically advanced flotation tires. Stubble guard damage is a strong feature of Alliance tread compounds. If you want to talk to an Alliance engineer, please send me an email to [email protected].
