New Ulm, MN | It does but he said his back was getting to beat up in the Red CASE he was using, wanted a bigger tillage tractor and trackes give him a smooth ride at over 8 MPH in a 5th year rough alfalfa feild. As long as the baler man is happy I dont care! LOL |

East Central Kansas | If the people you would be custom baling for do not care what bale size you have, I would recommend going with a 4 foot wide baler. A 4 foot wide baler would have a lot more capacity than a 3 foot baler, it would help you get more done in most cases, which is big for a custom baler. We run a 4790 Heston. I would recommend that baler to anyone. |

southern MN | Randy doesn't mind bigger equipment, either. ;) I hear the ride isn't perfect, but better at times.

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | I'd say probably 95% of the big balers in this area are Hesstons; you can't go wrong with them. Krone is the only other brand taken seriously around here.

| I run a LBX332. Bought it brand new and have NEVER had a problem with it. Ive baled around 18000bales with it. Reliable and makes 950-1100lb bales |

nwks | nobody knows hay like Heston

Sunnyside, WA | Which dealer--Eltopia or Moses Lake? |

Oxford County, ON | Hesston. We've got 17k bales on our 2 year old 2150 and very few issues. Virtually every problem we had the first year was considered warranty without question. We had a NH BB940 for 7 seasons and put 44k bales on it. Better used as a paperweight when comparing it to the new Hesstons. |

| Over 80% Hesston here. Hearing some halfway decent things about Krone, as compared to before. Also a very few CaseIH/NH around. |

Central KS | He has done a bunch of baling in big squares. Would probably be very knowledgable in that subject. |

Bonanza, Or | I think that Hesston is the one to beat. If you are looking at the 3x4's the 2170 has considerably more capacity than the 4790. The one thing I wish Hesston would change is to put a wider header on the baler. |

New Ulm, MN | It was lots better after he had custom made cab mounts to make it solid. He said it bounced to much before. |

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | You get a chance to look at the Krone when they were baling here?
Loaded some hay out that was baled with it. One thing I'll say, if a bunch of guys start buying Krones and expecting me or someone else to load out with a squeeze, we are going to have to change something. 2000lb 3x4's exceed what I can handle.
Lot of talk about baling these real heavy 3x4's at 90" for export. Go right into the cans and skip the pressing. |

Bonanza, Or | I did not see the high density Krone when it was here and from what I have been told they may be having some problems with them not lasting as long. A 2000 lb bale makes a whole new set of problems in the hauling and loading end for sure. Think how dry that hay is going to have to be to keep from burning it up. I think they can keep mine and I will keep on running a good ole Hesston and making those light bales ! |
