Anyone run one of these sprayers? How well do the booms hold up? Are they unstable with a 120 ft. boom? Who makes the boom for them? T.I.A.

Running a 100ft with windscreens. No complaints, good solid booms and machine so far. I believe booms are built in house, "flexi-coil"

have around 25000 acres on ours and the booms have given me no problems at all. I also have the 100' and windscreens. They must be tough because they have taken alot of badger holes..

The booms look almost the exact same as the ones on the self propelled case

Which monitor are you running?

Have you had any issues with the auto rate when slowing down?

Any one have the 134' booms? They look way heavier than any SP booms I have seen.
A couple of used ones with dual wheels available.
How does Raven wheel auto boom or Norac work on them?
Anyone using A Deere GS2 to control the sprayer and run swath pro?

I have the crappy flex control. I don't like the auto rate but it always seems to come out at the end of the tank load.
I have figured out my min and max for pressure than I can go. When I speed back up I think it should recover faster and the tune doesn't seem to help it no matter what number it is on. If I don't get the return I want I will just bump up the rate a .1 or .2/gal and it recovers faster then I return it down. I adjust my hydraulics as the oil warms up. I try to keep around 62psi give or take a few. As the oil warms up things change... I run the 4 gal orange combo jets. and spray 35-60psi and try for 40-50 range but go up if need.
I have gotten good at shutting the switch off at end or pass or put on manual before I turn around. Then I don't have the no recovery problems.

what do you do, what problems?

Expecting delivery of a new one of these early this spring. Ordered with the 120 ft. booms, Raven autoboom equipped with the ultra-sonic sensors. Looking for someone with a similar setup to tell me if I need 4 sensors (2 on each boom) or 5 sensors with the extra one being on the cradle to measure both boom height and return-to-pass at the headlands. Some say you don't need the cradle sensor as the boom sensors will do this for you. Also wondering if we should add a touch-down wheel to each boom for added safety to avoid hitting the ground with the boom ? What do you guys use ? Hoping to use the PRO 600 as the sprayer controller as the new sprayer electronics are ISO Compliant. Thanks for any input !

General, What will you pull it with? The 134' has wide spaced 380 duals. Neighbor is using 876 Versatile. Our 7920 might be borderline.
The ISO compliant is supposed to work with Deere's GS2, including swath pro.
GS2 works with Raven auto boom also.

Im running a pro600 and basically having the same problems as you.

Basically when i get really mad i pull the pin and take the top off the valve the "elec part" and open the valve wide open with a leatherman and run the rest of the day on manual. seems like if i only slow down a bit or speed up a bit the range works great but if i slow down to fast or stop im screwed for the day. i cant even click it over to manual then cause manual on the screen wont "open" the valve all the way. Other than that i think the sprayer is great. I am thinking i have something not set perfect in the "tune" but i have yet to find the sweet spot.

Plan on using our JD 7820 to pull sprayer with. We have relatively flat land with very few big hills.

what spray psi range, mph, gal/acre are you trying for and... what does your psi do when you are at a steady speed? does it stay steady or fluctuate up and down alot? when you calibrate it does it hold on 40 psi or bounce?

at a steady spead it stays very constant, not much fluctuation and basically everything works great until you say drop from 12mph and pull speed back to say 4-5 to turn around. Then it locks it in on a lower psi to correlate to the speed, then when u kick the gps on and grab a few gears, the psi will not come up. if you switch it over to Manual i am not able to get the valve to open up when it goes into this mode. thats when i go pull the pin and open it by hand and then run on manual for the rest of the time.

Im thinking i dont have a tune set right and i have tried going up or down 10 pts problem is when it locks up i can spray for the next few days on manual before i go try to reset it again.

Anyone know what the weight on the tractor hitch is with a loaded tank?
That is an issue for smaller rear tractor tires.
I heard not to transport with a full tank due to weight biased forward.
I have always filled my tank in the yard.

I put it in manual before I slow down or I shut off the spray before I turn. It helps alot, but I can't say it will help you. Kind of sounds like something might be faulty...
