Subject: new holland T6020 elite

Elizabethtown, ky
I tried searching for the T6020 elite, but the search is not narrowing it down for some reason, anyway: we are looking for a new tractor to do loader work, hay work, and spreading fertilizer. One that we are looking at is the new holland T6020 elite, with a cab, 17x16 transmission (31 mph) 830 MSL loader, mfwd, 3 electric hydraulic outlets, cusion cab, and other options. what is the good and bad of this tractor and the transmission. It will be our first and only new holland, we have john deere, kubota and allis tractors now. we have priced deere and case ih similar tractors. new holland is by far the best $ so far. Not looking for a color war... thanks in advance

They might be in the price and data book, but if they are like anything else NH "sells" there is little or no stock in North America.

there is no stock in USA, it is a special order from the factory. our dealer talked to the factory and it wasnt a problem.

Which explains why NH sales people NEVER return calls...

Which part wasn't a problem, writing the order, or filling it?

what im saying is that there is not one in the US that they can transfer in for us. it will be a build from the factory that will be here in march or early april.

Good luck with that. Local dealer ordered a T6090 and T7070 in summer 2009. The T6090 showed up in October and the T7070 showed up this Monday. Took 14 - 16 months to get them? Seems crazy to me.

Your dealer has some issues then. In these parts it is taking about 2.5 months to get an order filled. I ordered a T7050 and 7070 (both CVT) in mid August and they both arrived right after Halloween.

OK, a few things here. One, it seems like you guys are forgetting or weren't aware that the NH 6000 series tractors are the direct equivalent of the Case IH Maxxum series, and built in the same plant. So lets not be to hard on NH specifically. If I had to guess, I would say NH sells at least as many tractors in this size as CIH, maybe more. Secondly, the reason there is no dealer stock is because of the 31 MPH transmission. Dealers usually don't order the high speed trans for inventory machines because it is pricey. It is also the end of the year, so things are getting cleared out. The 6000 series are VERY popular in the US and to answer the original poster's more pressing question, yes they are very good tractors, there really is no downside to them. Thirdly, I am a NH salesman and I ALWAYS return calls.

We have a New Holland T6070 Plus tractor we bought new in 2008 and love the tractor we have a Frey highlift loader on it and its a great loader tractor. If lifting anything heavy with it you may have to build a weight box for it we put 3200 pounds of weight behind ours. I know its not the same tractor but I know the T6000 series tractors are great tractors and are very reasonably priced for the machine you get.
