I get this error code every few days. Says low voltage or high draw. New batteries and alt checks out fine. Code will pop when voltage is 12.4. Won't go lower then that. It will be fine for a few days then all of a sudden it comes up and voltage runs around the 12.5-12.9. Next day it runs low 13s. If it is running around 12.4 at full RPM and I idle it down it jums right up to 13.2. Any ideas? No difference with lights on or off.

This is all I can find in DTAC, And won't have access to Service Advisor until Monday.

CCU code 046 – CCU supply voltage low with engine running at greater than 1500 RPM

Fast....
From your description, it sounds like you are seeing the same thing that the CCU is reporting...low voltage. "It will be fine for a few days then all of a sudden it comes up and voltage runs around the 12.5-12.9."

Are you measuring the voltage with a voltmeter at the battery, or looking at it through the tractor's system?

If you are looking at the tractor's system, try a separate voltmeter at the battery to verify the system voltage is indeed low.

If the voltage at the battery is good, and the tractor's system is measuring it too low, you probably have a loose connection in the wiring somewhere. I'd look for a bad ground. Specifically look where all the grounds come together. I think that's between the starter and where the batteries are on the wheel tractor, probably close to the same place on the T.

If the voltage at the battery and the voltage the system is measuring are the same, it sounds like the voltage is indeed low. That is, the alternator is not putting out sufficient voltage. (In this case you would likely see lights dimming slightly when the problem occurs as well.) This could be an intermittent voltage regulator problem, or something as simple as a slipping belt. The voltage regulator is within the alternator.

It is very likely NOT the CCU or any of the computer components on the tractor.

Had this trouble with an 8520 the fuse for the alternator was loose, probably not your problem but an easy check.

My 8410T done the same thing. Look at the junction point of the cable that routs under the cab and eventually powers the cab. The "T" goes to the alternator and can be found at the left front edge of the cab. The connection had come apart. I took a hose clamp and re-attached it.......it work for a while but eventually had to put a new cable on.

Thanks for the input I will look into the things listed. I am looking at the voltage reading on the dash. I ran 30+ hours this weekend and no issues. I will check it all over before I start corn gound tillage.
