Sac & Story county IA | Where do I find a stand alone circuit breaker? What I want is terminals on each side and mounting provisions instead of mounting in a panel. 2 pole 10 amp and 20 amp. My dryer has some, so, I know they exist.
What are they called? Ebay lists 48,000 circuit breakers. DIN is close but not really. |

Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning. | This outfit has a couple at decent prices. Are you mounting indoors or outside? http://www.surplussales.com/Electrical/Boxes.html |

Sac & Story county IA | It will be in an enclosure with 2 vfd's. I am going to try to have the enclosure extra clean air. Dusty, humid environment where hot corn comes out of dryer. I will probably bring in filtered air from the outdoors for cooling and keep dust out. One vfd will be 1/2 hp motor and the other is 2 hp. My P.E. son in law tells me a vfd runs at the same temperature regardless of load. I didn't know that. |

Virginia | I have used an outside AC unit disconnect. You can find them at big box store very cheap.

Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning. | OK, Now I get it. I got some stand alone contactors/starters that I mounted in a homebuilt box that runs my cleaning setup
They are adjustable for current required to trip. For a breaker like what you're using, I think I'd be tempted to buy panels that just use regular breakers and gut them and mount the stuff required for the breaker, if you didn't want the box in your enclosure. Cheap & easily changed with stuff available at the local hardware store. VFD at the same temp regardless of load: I dunno? All of mine have a high-temp, don't touch warning label on the heat sinks. I ignored and touched only to find them at ambient temp after a couple hours of operation. 3 HP drive is running a 3/4 HP motor at about half speed. Don't know what the temp would be on a larger motor running at normal speed. |

| I think QOU210 and QOU220 are what you want. Might have to buy separate mounting bars, but many Square D have bolt holes front to back for mounting to a plate or box with suitable holes. Which
http://www.newark.com/jsp/content/printCatalog.jsp?display=single&c... shows as a QOUMF3. Not cheap these industrial parts, shop hard.
There probably are half a dozen more Square D parts to fit, but I don't have a catalog handy.

central mich | WEG MPW Series function as a manual starter or breaker. Use them for either single phase or three phase. Adjustable overload, phase sensitive, finger safe, etc.
And they are inexpensive. Many accessories available. Other manufacturers may make similar. See weg.net |
