| Went to a clinic on lubricating and running a Drago corn head. The presenters there were very persistent that all lubrication be either the Mobil EP0 grease for the stalk rolls and such or the Mobil SCH 634 for the trasfer cases and drive chains. Are you Drago owners that particular about using that specific oil for the components or can something more common be substituted. I sure wasn't that fussy on my old head and had years of trouble free use from it. Thanks. |

![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=625&type=profile&rnd=450) North Central Iowa | I bought a different brand grease that met the same specs, because that was what my supplier could get and it was a lot cheaper than buying it by the tube from a dealer. It's a much thinner grease (and a synthetic) than the standard chassis grease most guys use on the farm. Personally, I like the head, and even though it's a pain to keep another couple lubricants around, I'd rather do that than end up buying some expensive parts. Mike

Eastern Iowa | We use their grease. It is pricey but a case of it will last quite a while. We keep a grease gun on the head with just that kind of grease and leave it there. |

AGCO uses it in their disc mower cutterbars, also. |

N IL | We use their grease because they would not recommend it if you weren't supposed to use it. We have a pump bucket for the gearboxes and a grease gun for everything else. |
