Is it the new style hood or the old one (both are A series, old one is Tier 2, new is Tier 3). We demoed an RT120A in 2007... and liked it so much that we bought a MF 7485 (equivalent to an RT 135). Apart from colour they are the same (and the MF is a Tier 3). Engine is absolutely great! Quietest engine you will find, very lively, uses very little fuel. This spring I hauled manure during something like 25 hours before needing to refill (and I was incorportating the manure with the spreader). Cab is great and quiet. Maybe not as large as its green or red counterparts, but still good. Only way to make it better would be cab suspension (which we should have ordered). Transmission is another plus... rear axle and transmission comes from Fendt (if it is a CVT). Works great, easy to use. We usually road along at 25 mph, engine at 1700 rpm, with a 20 tonnes + load of manure. In conclusion, I would buy another one tomorrow morning if I was on the market for a new tractor. Everything is great with those tractors. Cab could be improved, but I suits my needs. Let me know if you have specific questions. Nick

Crawfordsville, Arkansas | We have a RT130 high crop. Sees use on a pto ditcher mostly or splitting rice levees. Has been a good tractor so far. I should say that ours has the 5.9 Cummins and 18 speed powershift. Edited by Detroit 6/16/2010 21:23

NEMO | Have an 05 RT 120. It has the cummins engine and cvt transmission. No problems in 1200+ hrs so far. My favorite tractor on the farm right now. Only thing I would do different if buying a new one is I would get the GTA console, have it in my 240 and its really got some good features that would be handy on the 120. Didn't know what I was missing with out it. Anything in particular you want to know about? Edited by frank-f 6/16/2010 20:29

Springfield, Ohio | We have a 2006 RT120a FWA. Ours has a cvt transmission and I think a Sisu engine. Has an FL 500 loader. The tractor now has about 2200 trouble free hours. In the past we've pulled a Kinze 3600 12-24 planter with it as well as a 43 foot Phillips harrow. The 120 is very useful on our farm, a pleasure to operate, and very reliable. Alan

EC Indiana | Have 2 RT145s. Both Cummins 5.9 with 32x32 speed auto 4 with power shuttle. Both have approx 2000 hrs. We have put on about 1500 of them. Overall have been great. One of them had a speed sensor fail in the transmission. It also had an issue with the joystick control for the hydraulic remotes, but turned out to be a short, caused by previous owner doing some custom wiring. Ridiculously fuel efficient. At first, I was sceptical about the 32 speed transmission instead of the powershift. Now, I think I like the 32 speed better than a powershift. I think RT145s and the RT130s are basically the same. You get into the other numbers, and the newer models and there are differences. Alot of people comment on the cab. They are not as roomy as one on an 8000 series deere, but they are pretty nice. Room for passenger, lunch box, thermos, trash can, 2 or three monitors, extra bag of seed, etc. Compared to any pre mid-90s cab, they are fantastic. If you find one from a good home and have a good dealer as a resource, I like them. Would own another in orange, yellow or red.

EC Indiana | I was reminded today that one of our RTs rubbed a hole in the lower fuel tank. I remembered, because it did it again. Thought we corrected the problem.
