Iowa | Other than the obvious poppet being a little longer and flat on the end and ball being round, what is the difference between the two? Can they be used interchangeably or is one more suited for one type use or do they have to match the inside of your female connector? Using Pioneer ends and they both seem to fit the same, always wondered which was better. |

Somewhereville, Earth | spring tension behind the ball or poppet, in high flow or spiking flows, they hammer shut
they are interchangeable and everyone does it, just remeber in high flow, or sharp operations they may shut momentarily |

Leeds, North Dakota | if you need hyflow, go to tit style, you will gain at least 2 gallons prm, have proved it on a flowrater, scott. |

NEMO | Poppet style does flow a little better, but in 90 % of applications it doesn't make a difference untill you are maxing out on the flow. JMO. |

Somerville, Indiana | Matthew you may be a little pink behind the ears to remember the Aeroquip couplings that broke away when they were supposed to and left a cleaner contact area when we plugged them together with a plier handle or screw driver. Do they flow more oil? Aeroquip lose a poker game to Pioneer? What happened, as they disappeared in two years time here.
The China bearing discussion arose again today. Every year the only China bearings on our planter wear through. OEM ran for 12 years. We will rob a donor or wait on a better bearing than use China cheap again. There is absolutely no excuse to spend so much effort and money on a good product and then use 'free' bearings that don't last. |

curtice, ohio | just the other day we tried to use our field cultivator and had put the poppet style tips on it. we moved it out of the barn with our jd 3020 with adapters. we switched it over to our older white tractor and nothing worked. messed around about an hour, thought we had tractor problems. changed back to the old round ball end tips and everything now works. something is just not matching up with our tractor. thought they worked on any pioneer hookup, but not this one |
