We are using our John Deere 7000 plnater to plant some corn for the first time. We went to look on how to set it and the one page we need for corn is ripped out. Our dealer does not carry that old of one any more, i was wondering if someone could post a copy of that page on here or email it to me. Thanks alot for any help!

The older 7000 planters had sprockets for 2040 chain in the transmission with half the teeth on each of the sprockets. The chart appears to be for the later 7000 that had the 40 chain sprockets.

Anyone ever notice the recommended speeds? Most are from 4-6 mph... always told that anything over 4.5 mph was too fast, of course I never listened. 7 mph with a 16 row would seriously eat some acres though!

I put a bit undersized tractor on the planter one year. Took me longer to plant, but I sure had a nice stand & yeilds that year.

Hummmm.
