west central mn | Just wondering if anyone has used this size cultivator.
| |||
| NH8970 |
| ||
Gilby,ND | i know of some neighbors that have made 24 rows out of case ih 1820 cultivators, take a 16row 30 and then add on and the add on wings fold forward before it folds vertically, and then they changed the fold from flat to semi vertical, not a bad looking rig. As far as i know it works. Looks really weird going down the field.

west central mn | Did they add lift wheels to it or just stayed a three point.

Gilby,ND | I believe they just used 3 point, of course they pulled it on the 335 so not sure, if you'd like more info call Uglem-Ness Equipment of Northwood, ND @ 1-800-223-1630, i believe they built them, if not they should know all about it

NC ND | Neighbors built one similiar to the case described, made it two hours and now it is a conversation piece. Engineer is well if you build one, Elmers manufacturing makes one, generally pretty heavy built stuff. http://www.elmersmfg.mb.ca/

South Central MN | Thanks, I was actually wondering about MX. I've seen pictures of the orthman and it is a beast. We've been looking for 16 row cultivators and toolbars for a couple years. Always seem to find new uses for the toolbars and was just hoping for a lead on a couple more in case we ever need any and he was interested in selling. I guess now I might have another lead...

| I have the first B&H 24 row ever built .I bought it in 1998,ran it 4 years until I went to RR corn. I still have it sitting on yard in case I ever go back to milo.Ran real well and very true.I ran it with a Case IH Steiger 9350 row crop special.Wings fold flat over each other very compact but weighed about 15000.Has 3 lift assist wheels, double 7inch bar on center section 22ft transport width.Cars would just follow me and look at it instead of passing. | |||

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | Bauer of Paton Iowa, the Deere big planter people, built at least two for Hunter Farms of Cooper Iowa. Hunters used them behind Deere 4WD - 8630, etal. A few years ago I stopped at Hunter's shop to ask about a Hunter I knew in the National Guard in the 60s. And I asked them about the 24 row cultivators. They still had one, had not been used for a long time. They had sold one. (2009_12260047.JPG) Attachments ---------------- 2009_12260047.JPG (93KB - 458 downloads)

| orthman made a couple of different versions of a 24R30 culitvator. They all went down to southern Texas. They were monsters and worked really well as long as they were used as advertised. Lots of them got socked in the ground 8" and then the fecal matter hit the oscillating device. Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | The ferry is on the Current River, Akers Missouri. Akers is in Shannon County, SE of Rolla. Due south of Salem MO. No# 60 seed deals. There was two of them at Bauers in Paton Iowa a few years ago. Pretty sure it was before Deere came out with central seed. I don't think they are still there, but then I have not looked over the new Bauer factory over muich. More fun to look around the old Bauer shop. There is one for sale at the Deere dealer in Hamburg Iowa - Hamburg is about as far SW as you can get in Iowa, exit 1 on I-29 Also Haukos [spelling wrong] have oner. Was priced at $4500- now $2500- Will see if I can find the website. http://www.haukosbros.com/ BTW. The ferry is current powered. Angle the ferry to the current and it pushes you to the other side. Open 362 days a year. Not T-day, Christmas and New Years. Car = $4- It takes about 15 minutes from the northbound, southbound would be quite a bit faster.
