North West IA/western AZ | Which one rides better? How big a deal if the Deere (1997) still has the small finals on the front? Not sure the wheel size on the CIH looks like at least 42" Deere 34". 4465 hrs and 80' booms on the CIH and 2650 and 60' booms on the JD. Both have SS tanks, I like the 800 gal. on the CIH (which also has SS wet boom. If it quits snowing, I'm going to look. TIA |

west central illinois | the case ih is a good machine i think over all but i would do some serious homework on that machine that is alot of hours for a sprayer hydro engine and wheel motors should be looked at carefully got a sprayer myself with 4700 hrs on it and am getting rid of it this winter had to completely rebuild entire hydro system last year and little things going wrong all the time i am tired of working on it all the time but if this one has been rebuilt it may be fine but im going back to a red one |

west Tennessee | I have owned several 3200b's and now 3320's.first there is no comparison between the two. Also used to run deere 6500's and 6700's. while the 3200b is by far more of a machine than a 6700 deere, I would much rather see you in the lower houred deere sprayer than the 3200b. We put alot of hours on sprayers, like 700 a year and ussually trade every two years, but there is no way I would advise you to buy a 3200b with that many hours no matter what size the operation. 4700 hours I can guarantee you will be blowing hyd lines left and right. the hydro and wheel motors themselves will be weak, and the suspension is likely been worn out several times and is very expensive to repair on a case! |

North West IA/western AZ | Thanks for the input David. Is the 3200B rough riding compared with your 3320? I know the old 6x00 deeres were rough. Is there a good way to test the suspension parts on the 3200Bs? |

west Tennessee | Buster... the ride is about the same between the 3200 and the 3320. however weight distribution is better on the 3320 as it has the engine on the rear and tank behind the cab..... the 3320 is a hands down better sprayer than the 3200b.. in my opinion, Case was not a true competitor in the sprayer market until the 3320's and now 3330's came out. the 3200 b is actually just the patriot line that they bought out. now the 3200b is much more of a man of a sprayer than a 6500 or 6700... but when you go to comparing a 3200b to a deere 4700 or 4710. the deeres win out as they have more refined components than the old case patriots did. The only way to check the suspension is to jack up the axles and get the tires off the ground then check for wear on the pivot linkage pins and also side to side movement of the front wheels . look for slack in the steering cylinders and cylinder ends too. those trailing link suspensions must be greased every day... to avoid wearing throught the brass bushings and into the housings. once the bushings are gone the housings get wore and must be replaced which is very costly!
In my opinion... judging by the sprayers you have mentioned looking at... I would really try to find a 4710 Jd. it has a few improvements over the 4700 and larger wheels i believe. I am a case man... but hold a long fondness for the deere sprayers, they are a real good machine. Having said that the Case Ih 3320 and 3330 sprayers are awesome, the only true competion for deeres 4730 and 4830... in my opinion! actually I believe the New Cases outperform the new deeres. |
