Knipco type heater problem

Subject: Knipco type heater problem


Have a heater that runs great for 10 minutes or so and then the push button kicks out. Wait a minute or so , push button and it starts right up.What do think the problem is and how do I fix it? dean this heater is running on kerosine

 Could be the fuel filter. most have a screen that goes into the tank under the siphon tube. Works till it builds up and then kicks out . old ones would just run with no heat.  Pull the drain plug on the tak while your doing it and add a quarter can of dry gas to the tank when you refill.

Is the flame going out before the reset trips or is it burning good at the point where it trips? It could be a fuel problem, the flame sensor, ignitor, fan motor, air pump, any one of these will cause the reset to trip.
