Southern Missouri | I’ve had trouble finding them before and don’t understand why website makes it so hard to find auction results , couldn’t find them on my iPhone yesterday so thought I’d look on tablet at night , still can’t find them ,went to FAQ page and what it says to do for some reason is not on my big iron home page , I’m sure it’s easy and something my dumb butt is overlooking but anyone know easy way to find them ? Wondering what results were at fps auction

East of Broken Bow | I have found that the best way to follow the prices on BigIron is to put the item on your 'watch' list. As far as I know, you can add as many items as you want, and then as soon as you log in, on the left side of the screen, there will be a list of those items, along with the selling price or current bid, if it hasn't sold yet.

Gillett WI | Are you signed in, all the categories (equipment, real estate, livestock, classic cars) on the top have a results tab, but you have to be sighed in.

You have to be logged in then it’s easy. If you go to Sullivan Auctions the results it takes you to the Big Iron website. Then click on top equipment, then auction results, then pick the auction you want the results from. Probably be easier on your iPad. I have two IPads and my older one for some reason doesn’t work on certain websites, Big Iron is one of them but my newer one no problem.

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Not as easy as it used to be. I checked on some items yesterday so it does work. As others have said, must be signed in then go to the equipment tab if that’s what you want then auction results should pop up.

NC KS | Putting them on your watch list doesn't help unless you like seeing the results several weeks later. They disappear off of the watch list as soon as they are sold and reappear weeks later.

West Central IA | I no longer watch Big Iron auctions. They collect commission on both ends now and I don't feel collecting from the seller and the screwing the buyer also is a good long term business practice. I feel charging me for the privilege of buying something on their auction when I as a buyer have already helped their commission income should not be part of their business model. The ag economy is going to get tougher and their model has become screw them on both ends and screw them hard.

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I agree with you. Never have understood adding commission on the buyer side. Why not have all the commissions be on the seller side? I suppose that might chase some sellers away. But in the end, the buyer should be bidding accordingly so the seller ends up with less either way.

Southern Missouri | O im definitely logged on , I’ve tried again and I still can’t get there , back on iPhone now , it says in the frequently asked questions to home page and shows where results button should be but it’s not there on mine , heck if I know edit : just called and they helped but I don’t understand why’s it’s hard to find but it is , when logged in, three little lines top right of page , click , go do to equipment, there’s a big list on that page , but go down to equipment and click and auction results are there , my opinion it should be on that page that says equipment Edited by sloughclub 8/30/2024 08:35

I no longer look at sullivan or steffes auction sites. I'll bet we would be amazed at the information that these companies can and do mine from our computers from just looking at their web sites.

When they added buyer commission I discounted my bidding by 25%.

E.Central MN | But in the end, the buyer "should be" bidding accordingly so the seller ends up with less either way. I used to think that way, too, when a local auction came out with a 19% (15% for cash/check/etc) BP. But because there weren't a lot of tool and small industrial machinery auctions, his auctions attracted more interested bidders (I have to give him credit for seeing the demand and establishing a business to fill it). As the # of bidders increased, so did the prices even with the high BP. He eventually sold out to a bigger auction company and the focus is now on used construction equipment, As the auction companies get bigger their overhead gets more expensive, the fees are making it prohibitive to sell small items there.

NC Kansas | I agree that the best is to add to watch list but here's how I get to it generally. (Capture (full).PNG) Attachments ---------------- Capture (full).PNG (46KB - 6 downloads)
