West of Broken Bow | It’s not over yet but sure hope there’s no more damage done. I kept watching the storms on radar as one kept drifting further south as it tracked east. The lightning became more and more severe with numerous cloud to ground strikes less than a mile away. Watched lightning possibly hit a moving freight train headed through The house is built solid and so I knew the wind must be blowing 70 mph or better to create that much of a roar. Won’t know until morning just how bad the damage is. Power was knocked out and at least one structure is no more. Saw the hook forming on the radar and about that time tennis ball sized hail was heard hitting the patio cover. So thankful the house is still standing. Been through worse than this.

West of Broken Bow | This explains the anxious feeling in the gut long before dark. Felt very uneasy. Knew nothing of forecasted storms possibly turning severe. Got a fair sized tree blown down across the driveway entrance. Thankfully it didn’t snag the power line or smash the fence. The electric provider had men out checking the transformers after midnight but there’s a good chance a line or pole may be down in the area. No power.

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | Hope everyone in your area comes through okay. Talking about a gut feeling, anytime my dog acts uneasy I get concerned about the weather ..... I think they sense things we don't. Curious, is "West of Broken Bow" Oaklahoma?

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | It’s been strange weather. Had storms brew up a couple days ago moving northeast but they kept forming and drifting southeast. The line where they formed is where the severe storms were. Had places get hailed out and heavy rains of 3-5” that came fast.

Liberty, MO | We received over 3 inches of rain in an hour or less. and small hail and some terrific winds here in the north east corner of Kansas City (Liberty) yesterday just after noon. , trees broken, limbs laying down everywhere , and some of the city streets covered with leaves. Several areas of town were without power too.

Never a good time to get hail but, this time of year has to be the worst (IMG_0819 (full).png) Attachments ---------------- IMG_0819 (full).png (322KB - 28 downloads)

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Most anytime is a bad time for hail and this time of year took corn and beans. But I think the worst time for us is late June when you can get both wheat and your fall crops hailed out in one storm and it’s really too late to replant anything.

East of Broken Bow | I'm East of Broken Bow, and got the warnings/alerts. I was worried about what might hit us, but the storm cells parted, and while we didn't get as much rain as you guys seemed to, we didn't get anything severe, either. I gotta admit, it looked nasty for a while, and when I got an alert for a Tornado Warning, I was glad it was on the other side of the county.
