East Texas | Twitter famous 9RX690. Word on street it’s 90k pounds with the new 18 liter Deere engine? Complete new frame and design? Central ND | I don't believe 90k for a split second.....

Southern Missouri | Looks like a beast

central Ia | Used to be scrap iron price times weight would be pretty close to retail price

McCanna, ND | Front under the hood looks like pretty thick cast. Front of the trailer has a stinger. Looks like larger diameter drive wheels as well. I can believe the stats on the tractor. Market needs a tractor that big anyways.

NE SD | Those track undercarriages are way bigger than current RX models. Could easily be an extra 10-15k there alone. Edited by Chad H 5/8/2023 18:44

Central ND | Time will tell, I still don't see #35000 heavier than current tractors
ag4life |
| ||
Southern Illinois | If you figure it needs 100 to 110 # per horse power 90k wouldn't be terrible. Maybe that's the max operating weight?????? Id rather have the new big bud

I heard closer to 80,000lbs. Million loaded up.

SW Iowa | Perhaps you can add calcium chloride into the tracks to gain the weight.

west Nebraska northeast Colorado | And one corroded electrical ground will bring it to a halt. I think tractor design may have peaked with the 9xx Versatiles and has gone downhill since then.

East Texas | Original 2014 leaked quad track pics. Crazy it’s been 9 years, I remember this post. https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=476151&Display... (IMG_0121 (full).png) Attachments ---------------- IMG_0121 (full).png (204KB - 1083 downloads)

sw wisconsin | Does Deere still sell many new two track tractors? Seem like most of the Deere guys have switched to four tracks around here.
silverluv75 |

SE North Dakota | Looks like it still takes Def. According to Agtalk nobody will buy anything that takes Def. Wink wink. Someone is already probably trying to figure out what it costs and already running to the dealer to be the first to sign off on one. Lmao

SW Ohio | Man the EPA has just done wonders for visibility out of the cab, haven't they?**** Sure makes the hood stacks of the old 30 and 40 series 4wd look very tolerable lol

Vermont | 750 hp is one of the thresholds for Tier 4 standards. You'd think it's just an ECM adjustment to get that extra 60 horses, odd they wouldn't have gone straight to a 9RX 750.

N.E. MO | Interesting that they seem to have moved the fuel tank back up below the cab instead of over the rear axle. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that?

Roseglen, North Dakota | Will take a big check. But they will sell. There are 100' air drills made with 1300 bushel carts. If running banders putting down nh3 theres nothing on the market that will pull them And JD needed more weight also. Reminds me of the STS/IH rotor controversy. Once JD made up their mind to make (copy for the JD haters) a rotor, they soon got market share. In our area its 10-1 JD quad vs IH quad now. Took 9 years.

ND | GDAD - 5/8/2023 09:24 Interesting that they seem to have moved the fuel tank back up below the cab instead of over the rear axle. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that? Hard to believe they would get the capacity down below, now they can brag about how good the visibility is out the back.

Sunburst Montana | jd8850 - 5/8/2023 21:27 Those stacks were in the middle This is off to the side. Helps a little. Helps a lot. Comparing the visibility of these cabs to a SGB is one of the dumber things I’ve read on here

Apparently the patent is up on the case quad track bogie wheels. I was told Case patented the 3 smaller wheel system and the first JD quads had 2. Sure need longer tracks for the power and weight.
jd8850 |
| ||
Roseglen, North Dakota | The first JD quad bogies are the same as the present ones.

East Texas | Since beginning of 2020 engines over 750 hp have to meet final tier 4 like the rest. The PM and nox are allowed higher levels than smaller engines but most large engine makers are still using def or/and EGR to meet those requirements (like CNH did). They are staying away from DPF’s from what I’ve gathered. The final tier 4 for large 750 and up engines is similar requirements as interim tier 4 was on our smaller engines.

Southeast Washington | Looks like it has some big improvements over what the current design lacks. The wider set track spacing is a big improvement for pulling big loads. Big downfall I see is the air intake isn't a Donaldson type to get the air swirling down the intake tube so the aspirator can pull out the dirt before the air filter. Most have hewn changed out on the quads around here as the filter is always plugged with dirt otherwise.
jd8850 |
| ||
Roseglen, North Dakota | I believe they still sell 2 tracks but you dont see many. Had 2 Cats, no more 2 tracks here no matter how good they pull.
jd8850 |
| ||
Roseglen, North Dakota | I dont see buying that for a million. A 640 is 800. More than $200k worth of changes there.

SE SD | This is a good thing! Probably will ride better and safer to fuel up. I hate the elevated tanks on my 9570R. It's dangerous to fuel up, and having 300 gallons sloshing around 6-8' high makes ride like a bucking Bronco!

Minnesota | I really don't at all believe this will be a 9RX when released and would also be shocked if they stop at 690 hp with a tractor frame of this size. Just like the latest 2024 Case IH quadtrac prototypes with the new cab running around said 620 but were actually 645 tractors. IMO it will definitely be marketed as a 10RX: bigger tracks, bigger frame, bigger engine, bigger hood. A whole new class of tractor much beyond the 9 series. If this was the new 9RX frame size it would completely leave a void for the current standard size articulated tractor. If Deere is smart, it will be 10RX. Edited by No-Nonsense 5/9/2023 17:15

E ND | I think you have to be over 750HP to not run DEF. Somewhere in that range anyways. 18L engines will run up there but not thinking this one is.
