There seems to be some pretty good horticulturists on this site. I know what I call these weeds but what name would you give them?

No clue on the first.

The second could be puncture vine, or called goat head sometimes. If it gets little yellow flowers I would be more positive. The seeds are really nasty. The points are able work there way through things like bicycle tires.

MS Delta
The first picture looks like dewberry. Does it have thorn or spines on the stems?

Second picture- is it one of the spurges?

NW Washington
Google says it is Causonis Japonica. Check the link. Seems someone imported this vine to the southern US.

My first guess was Virginia Creeper which looks similar. https://www.thespruce.com/taxonomy-of-virginia-creeper-2132897

If it is the stuff link says it is, it sounds like BAD STUFF. Destroy it now!

Central Kansas
2nd pic looks like prostrate spurge but I cannot make out any purple splotch in the leaves. Silver dollar size on Monday, by Saturday the size of a paper plate is one characteristic. Black medic is a similar plant.

East Central Arkansas

That first picture looks like dewberry vine to me. It used to be a problem in some of our cotton fields especially when picking and they would stop the doors up on the old pickers. Then you would have to climb up under the picker crawling on your hands and knees to get to the back doors to clean those sticker vines out that was all dangled up in the cotton that was plugging the door. The second picture does look similar to spurge, we used to always call it milkweed vine. The spurge continually comes up in the gravel around our shop and it is a never ending summer job keeping it sprayed to keep it from taking over. Every time you get any rain at all another flush comes up.

Yes, it has some pretty nasty little thorns. Not very long but sharp as needles.

I think you are probably correct on the milkweed. That’s what I call it. It comes up through the cracks in the driveway and sidewalk. I’ve never seen any flowers on it but it is persistent.

Here’s maybe a better picture of the second one.
