There’s a bulletin out for troubleshooting issue. I’ve seen the “solenoids” leak oil into Husco causing issue. Guy puts new Husco on without fixing issue and fails another Husco. Yes they can be problems but what do you have 5-6 outlets? If you’ve spent “thousands” most should be replaced by now. Even if they are up to 1000 a piece that’s 5k on a 150-250k tractor. I’ve spent that on 20-30k tractors. And I’d hope you got parts warranty on the ones thst didn’t make it two days…. Can they be an issue, yes but there’s more to the system that needs to be looked at / troubleshot before jumping ship

The Agco dealers around here are awful. That is why they are losing market share here. I never care to go in Lang Diesel again.

I don't know how many have been replaced on my 765D, but it is a joke. Every year they keep putting the same failed design on and expect a different outcome. They refuse to fix the problem that came with this tractor new.

Those husco controllers are literally unobtanium right now. The manufacturer stopped building them and there is almost zero left in agco parts inventory. Ask your dealer about it, it's a mess.

CNH isn’t any better they are putting so cheap bearings and flanges in NH balers the bearings are spinning in the flanges and wearing the flanges out. Baler had 2800 bales on when it failed. Called 4 store chain and none in stock called another store they are out and waiting on more parts guy was surprised how long they been on order he looks at another 3 store chains inventory they are out. Ended uncle rummaged thru his pole barn and found a pair on flanges he kept on hand for his Gleaner combine and luckily they fit and more snug than the NH ones.

I have a 755d. Those husco valves are extremely tight supply. Tech has to come out, document everything. Show you can't operate without it. And then the big wigs at agco either give you the thumbs up or down if you get one. I was having problems this spring. Ended up with 2 bad. Ended up stealing the 3pt one for one of the scv. And since I wasn't using 3pt and only needed 4 valves of the 5 for planter, I do not get to be blessed with any new parts. What a s&"t show. The problem these are, they should have had warehouses full of them. They should lose much business over this. And my understanding it that they are still using them in the new tractors.

1) Agco should come up with a retrofit that works!

2) Aftermarket kit would sell well if it could be made & delivered timely and competitively.

3) Competition will gain some business if Agco does not address this.

I have been on Agco to have a fix for these and the modules on the 600/8600 wheeled machines for yrs. I've told them they need to have a recall/upgrade and also rebuild them inhouse. These things have to be piled everywhere....
I also suggested they need a plug in stand at the dealers, so you can have them allocated there so you don't have to have a tech come out with the EDT tool. They could also ship them out programed. One of my biggest bitches to them.
I would like to start a class action lawsuit over them and use of the EDT tool. If I can get enough people to join me, I would hire the same lawyers going after JD for repair rights.
The guy at Agco Corp told me to buy a new tractor to get the limited EDT diagnostic equipment they have with it. Real smart Agco
There is a solution, Agco just doesn't care to look I guess.
Actually their solution is sell new equipment and ignore the older stuff. Agco wants us buying all the latest and greatest.

Edit- I love my Massey/Agco equipment, I use and sell a lot of it. But the amount of down time the valve modules, finger tips and some of the valves themselves have caused is mind boggling. Just waiting for tech to program what would be a 5 min swap can make you pretty frustrated.

For all the grief the Husco system causes it is a wonder someone hasn't come up with a total replacement. Outside of my abilities due to the electronics involved but I think there could be a good market for a work around.

I’ve never been around Agco stuff, but from reading this thread, it sounds like someone could be money ahead just bypassing the factory hydraulic block and coming straight off the pump to a Danfoss PVG32 valve bank.

I "HAD" a 2014 challenger 645d, Yes issue's with these valves and finger tip controller. one time the planter started to unfold driving into the shed. I just happened to look back and stop in time. These are dangerous, fail at any moment, and seem to have a mind of there own.

I would be embarrassed if I was employed by agco.

The A and B series work every day. The C series husko controller has been a black eye on a Hercules tractor for over a decade on this tractor.

I have 3 challenger tractors. The only one I have had any issues with was my 855C. The other two have quick hitches on that I use a bungee/zip tie to support the hoses. I have never had an issue on those. After making a simple bracket to support the hoses on my 855C, I have not had any problems.

My Zielger mechanic gave me the idea. Give it a try.

Hooked up the air seeder to our 965C this spring, checked everything and the hydraulics were good, then we got 5, inches of rain and moved the drill to fix a few things and tied the hydraulics again and one husco controller was bad. Called service and mechanic replaced it and tested the other ones and found another bad one, He just had installed the last one they had in stock. I called other dealers, there are none available . Found out there are 3000 units on back order. Agco is working with a company in Quebec which is building a aftermarket controller, should be available soon . Dealer got me one from another customer who had six remotes and did not use them all. At least they got me going and we finished seeding sunday night. We welded a three inch wide sheet on top the shield which protects the controllers to prevent rain coming in from the top because only the two top ones failed, the two lower ones are still the original ones. the tractor has 5650 h.

They make those Lendahand things. Should be easy to make yourself.

I wonder how that could be the issue though. We made a small cover that goes over the Controller and then covers the solenoids.

We had two go bad this spring. We have a very good dealer who got us going. Our last resort was to run 2 functions off of 1 remote by splitting the flow. Not a cheap repair given the dealer comes from 2h away and these things are not cheap. And super rare at the moment. Dealer phoned another customer with 6 remotes and he was so nice to give us 1.

We have thought about adding 2 mechanical remotes by splicing in front of the valve stack. Lots of ideas. Wish we had more remotes. This is really the achilles heal of an otherwise excellent tractor.

I have also thought about manually actuating them. Or bypassing the controller with a homemade one.

It really cannot be too hard. The only issue is programming them to the tractor. I think they use the EDT to measure flow and then learn the range of the solenoid so it corresponds to the number in your c1000. There are standard cal values but each remote is a little different, so they do vary.

But yes. Agco should fix this. And they should be $50 given the small amount of tech in them.

Also, if you are going through as much as you say, it is probably worth your time to do some more digging on why this could be happening. Usually ours last a couple years at least.

I don’t regret the 3 mt 800s on the yard. I have faith if Agco can’t find sunshine through it’s behind. Ziegler will find a fix.

The c-18 models are appreciating in value quite nicely.

Your understanding is wrong. 99% sure they aren't using them in the e-series and newer. That was actually a selling point for moving to the e over the d. I believe the new fendt aren't using husco either. Agco really screwed up this controller situation, but I know for a fact they know how big of a warranty claim there is against them.

The 800c's are widely regarded as a phenomenal tractor. So much so that Zeigler is now selling completely refurbished tractors for crazy money. The controllers do suck but that series generally has a very good reputation.

Word is that's one of the venues Zeigler is pursuing. Supposedly they've figured out an add-on controller that'll work, but need to figure out how to test and manufacture them. Time will tell.

E series has same Husco remote valves. Have to go to the new MT851/856/862/867 type machine to get new remote valves. Those now have the same as Fendt wheel tractors.

There are some things that you can do to try and help this situation out when you get new Husco controllers put on.

On the harness where the 4 pin Deutsch connectors plug into the controller on the remote valve assembly you can cut off the old pins/sockets and crimp on new ones. There is a lot of wire harness back there that pulls on these and can somewhat distort the pin/socket so that while the connector fits tight the pins/sockets to not mate that good. You can buy some decent Deutsch crimpers off ebay for 39 bucks, verses the 400 for OEM Deutsch. I personally own several pairs and the only thing I notice is they don't crimp the entire barrel in one shot. So what I do is crimp it once then pull the pin/socket out a little and crimp a second time and then this gets the whole barrel crimped. I can put up with this and only spend a fraction of the OEM crimpers. There are lots of places online that sell Deutsch connectors, pins and sockets that can be bought for a lot less than going to a dealer. I can send you links if you want to know where to source this kind of stuff.

Next thing to do after putting new pins/sockets on is to route the wire harness that plugs into each remote valve so that there is not so much extra harness hanging back there pulling on these connections. Make sure to zip tie them up pretty good once done so there is not much weight on them.

There is also a tin panel that you have to remove to get access to the Husco controllers. You can go to the hardware store and get some of that generic foam weather stripping and stick on the tin panel so that when you put it back on it presses tightly against the Husco controller and it kind of cushions the controller from the vibrations through out the field.

This has been done to several tractors I am aware of that would go though valves like you are experiencing and once these cheap/inexpensive fixes were done stopped from having consent failures. There could already be damage done to the controllers on the machine that have not recently been changed so keep in mind there could be some failures down the road but take this advice for what its worth so that hopefully you can have a better experience with your machine.

I hope this will help you and others out.

Love these threads,

You can search basically every tractor ever made and there is some sort of rant about never buying xxxx model again from xxxx company. Every tractor has problems. Frustrating as hell sometimes. So far for me switching tractor brands has never solved many problems.

Anyone got a pic of these husco valves? are they the same across all agco offerings? any other brand use them?

Reason I ask is I ended up with some sort of Husco valve in some auction goodies, and its painted black, but IDK what it fits. I'll try and find it tomorrow.

Here is my thoughts on this. I like my 765C model but like you I have replaced all of the Ecm boards at some time of owning it. I had asked if they had update the ecm boards after the 3rd one went bad. I'm hoping someone will come up with a complete valve stack replacement of some kind. It could plug in to the exstisting harness to control the valve stack and control the flow also. I remember someone on here put a new valve stack on a older tractor. (Green Steiger maybe) it would be an option maybe. Thinking out loud
