| We recently bought a 567 bailer with 6000 bails on the counter. The only complaint or concern is that the string seems to come off. We had to undo the kicker to keep it from unraveling. May just be one of those things, but wanted to see if there was any input out there.
As always, Thanks Guys |

Rosemary AB, Canada | If the edge strings are popping off the edge of the bale you need to move the twine guides in. You can do some adjusting on the monitor but if you need to move it more then you have to do the twine guides in the side panels. The book will tell you how to do these adjustments. Oh and the drier the material that you bale ie straw, the farther in the string has to be. good luck |

central north dakota | welcome to john deere balers 101 i also have a 567 that does the same thing when u kick the bale out it unwraps the twine off the bale while its rolling which is really handy when u come to haul them and it gets wrapped in all ur wheel bearings...i too have been after an answer to this problem..talked to the local dealer and they had me do a cinch wrap and re-extension wrap and that didnt do nothing....they kinda gave up on me..which kinda sucks because u can unhook the kicker but then u need to back up to dump every bale which also gets old...u would think if u spend 30,000 dollars plus for a baler it would work....there im done venting on that subject...let me know if anyone has figured this out |

North Carolina | I had the same problem with a JD 457 and dealt with it for a couple of years
and then last year traded up to a JD 458 with net wrap. Now thats a fix.
I plan never to go back to string.
Oh yeah I tried all the string wrapping tricks and none worked. |

| just slow your hydrualics down on your TRACTOR "end gate hydraulic" and or increase wraps on bale ends |

| The best fix for the Deere baler is just to let the bale keep turning in the bale chamber for a couple of turns more after the monitor tells you you are done wrapping. That seems to help mat the twine down to the bale so the kick doesn't unroll it off the bale. I put up with it with a 535 baler and the 567. I had went to almost all net on the 567 baler. But I really fixed my problems with JD round balers when I traded to the NH 780A baler. So much nicer putting net on, it does a better job. It also doesn't tear net off the bale, and send it to the top rollers in the baler like the 567 did.
Like the others said, if it's falling off the edges, you need to adjust twine guides inward, or adjust twine spacing, I prefer two inch spacing on twine. I do all in net now, 2-2.5 wraps for hay, 3 for straw.
The biggest gripe I had on the Deere balers was the start of the twine that goes on the bale. My hired help just seemed to have a hell of a time making sure they got all the twine off the bale. They would leave that pig tail in the bale, then cattle would drag that thru the feeders, then next it ended up on beaters on the speaders. I just hated those pig tails, I was allways picking them up. Net wrap has been a real blessing, so much easier to clean up. |

northwest tennessee | If it is falling off the edge the bale needs to be firmer on the edges too. May be rounded and needs to be more square shouldered. |
