SE IA | I've sold my 756 international tractor w/ a loader to get a newer tractor with a cab that has A/C for doing hay and miscellaneous loader work. What do you recommend for a good reliable loader tractor in the ball park of 85-120 hp? I'm considering a White 2-85 w/ 4k hours that the a/c works and if I put a loader on it then I'm looking at $15000. Also considering like a JD 5093E with a loader if I decide to spend a lot more $. If I go with a newer tractor then I want one that is less than 2000 hours or around the $40000 area. I like the older tractors as I can do more work on them myself but I also like the thought of a newer tractor that potentially I won't have to work on as much. I don't need 4WD but would be handy once in awhile. Thoughts? Thanks |

| If it were me I would look real hard at Massey 5455, 5460 or 5465. For the money hard to beat. Get the dynashift transmission and they are really nice loader tractors. Tractors are also badged as Challengers as they are essentially the same tractor. I am not color blind and I honestly feel they are the best value. Just my opinion for what it is worth. |

Casey Illinois | CHI Maxxum, 5140 or 5240 would work. Powerful, handy and small in size. Will work forever

Holton,KS | I would rather have a white 2-85 or 105 than any for the money. I still have one, but If you can find one with the MFW I would for loader work and feeding in the mud. The newer tractors are more comfortable but the extra money they cost and the electronic stuff can be agrivating. I have a couple new hollands that are newer but they take a lot longer to pay for. Just My opinion. |

NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | What ever you get make sure it has a left hand reverser. My last two tractors have had them and I'd never have a loader tractor without one now. Good luck with what ever you get. |

Port Austin Mi. | I bought a used 5093E and i love it, but i've never had a fancy one. It's alot nicer than my old 5400. I also have a 310 se backhoe for the bigger stuff. |

SW Iowa | CIH MX120
I just bought one in December with a good Bush Hog loader on it. Under 40K around 5k hours.
Left hand reverser, 4 spd pwr shift in each of 4 ranges. MFD NICE cab.
I came up from an 856 with a Koyker K5 loader. Whatever you get, don't go without the quick tach bucket/forks. I do more with it now because it is a 2 min job to change from forks to bucket etc.. rather than a 10 min job with multiple trips up and down the ladder. |

Southern Minnesota | We use a 2955 MFWD with 265 Loader. Works great as an all around utility and loader tractor. We use it all winter for hauling manure, and pushing snow. In the summer it gets used on the round baler, and our V rake. It is lower on your HP range, but I think you could pretty easily find one for around your budget. |

Portland, ND | We have a JD 7410 that makes a great loader tractor. Not great at anything else, but nice as a loader. I doubt you can find any with 2k hours, however. |

Be interesting to see what that sells for. Bid is already up to $43,500
Whole sale looks like very nice low hour equipment.

CO WI TX | Years ago when I was feeding in the winter with a 7400 it had the power quad and five years later we bought a deutz can’t remember the now the number it had the reverser in it and I would to this day take a 7400 or 7410 with the quad with no reverser plenty of power and easy to forward to reverse just needed two right hands |

NW Missouri | Either get something new enough to have a shuttle shift, or if that's out of your price range, go with a Case powershift. You can go from forward to reverse hydraulically without grinding any gears. After running Case tractors with loaders for years, I can't stand to drive a loader tractor that has to come to a complete stop to change direction. You may have noticed that with a loader, you have to change direction a fair amount.
