South Central ND | Has anybody has experience with this tool? Does it work? Seems like the crimp would straighten out and be loose again to me.
I apologize i don't know how to link on my cell.

| Looks to me like you just as well cut your wire. Whoever designed the thing must be from NEW YORK CITY. lol No offense to you NY guys. |

Texas | I have no doubts it will tighten the wire. I bet pressure applied to it or even heating and cooling over time will straighten out those kinks and make it loose again. |

Central ND | Oh good Lord...... what a peice of junk.......(yup, I said it) First time something pushes on the fence the waves made by the tool stretch out and you are back right where you started, with a sloppy loose fence. then the wire is weakened by the waves and that will be the first place to break.....You could just as well go in there and bend waves with a pliers although itm wont be as fast..\
... Lots of real fence streachers so to chose from.

NC Iowa | You could accomplish the same thing using the claws on a claw hammer. That is how I tightened stretched woven wire fencing back up after a cow went through it. Barbed wire usually didn't respond as well, and was more effective on that to just tak it loose and restretch.

NE SD | I used to use “reel tites” when I had cattle. Worked really well, even on rusty wire.

Central IA | I think this tool would accomplish what you're wanting better than that L&L contraption. Still not a replacement for an actual fence stretcher, but the results will much better than simply crimping the wire.

SENE | I use a texas fence fixer it works good on a older fence to tighten it back up. Only drawback is if the whole fence is loose you have to tighten it in many places and if it is that loose you might as well cut the wire and use a stretcher. |

NEMO | I once had a hired hand that would use his pliers to do the same thing this tool does and the wire tends to break where ever it is bent.
If he had just cut and stretched I wouldn't have had to be replacing so much fence. |

New Brunswick, Canada | Some woven fence comes with crimps so it doesn't come apart so bad with temperature changes or pull the corners out.
I'd give that a try. |
