| I'm about to start removing my shaker shoe from my Massey 850. Anyone on here ever remove one from a 8/800 series Massey? Have a lot of damage on the rear of shoe I need to address so figured it'd be easier to remove and possibly just replace. Open to tips and pointers. Thanks! |

NE ND | I actually removed the doghouse when I had to do mine. They are pretty light with the chopper removed. I just used the shop crane. This was on a 760. Made removal of the shoe so much easier and allows you to climb right inside to inspect. |

| Just need to remove shaker shaft and the hangers along the sides? Pull straight out? |

Westport, IN | Slide chopper, rear hangers, and front bolts on each side.
If it really was that easy. Sadly I can do it in about an hour.
I would also replace Shaker shaft bearings, and pitman bearing while in there too. Those bearing usually cause shoe and pan damage. |

| Yeah wasn't to bad taking out. Know of anyone who manufactures replacement shoes? It's cracked everywhere and has been repaired before. Just seems wiser to replace with new. I see AI sells them. Based off what I've read, they were a weak spot on the 850. |
