Southeast Washington | Depends on what you want to do. Have a Suzuki Carry mini truck and a Polaris Ranger. I probably wouldn't get another mini truck as it rides rougher and is hot in the summer versus more open Ranger. It does haul a bigger load can get 4 small bales on edge to a row and nice cab with heat, wipers, and roll down windows for winter feeding of cows. Mine also has a turbo with the five speed so has some get up and go. The UTV's are wider so more stable on the hills and parts sometimes hard to source. Otherwise as some others have said get a small compact vehicle and put to work.

I've had 3 Mini's , I keep trading up My latest to EXACTLY what the title says a mini TRUCK, AC, PS, PB, radio, Heat, intermittent wipers, 5 Speed, high/low 4x4 , all the street legal lights( don't have to lic here) 68 mph top speed (GPS confirmed) I've hauled a ton (2000#) of wood pellets several times, a 30' flag pole, and more random stuff than I can think of I use it instead of my full size truck for anything that I possibly can. My recommendation is this IF you are driving primarily on a road of some sort a mini beats a UTV IF you are primarily driving off road a UTV will beat a mini. If you're getting in and out 20-30 times a day a UTV maybe easier . I have never been stuck in mine , pretty amazing what it will go through I'm 5' 10" 200# have no problem getting in and out. My son-in-law is 6' 10" he likes driving it, has a bit of trouble folding his stilts getting under the steering wheel, not much of a problem as a passenger. Parts are not a problem - maybe finding someone in your area to work on one might be, usually a good indication is when they tell you "parts are hard to find". ![]() ![]() ![]() My "firefighting" set up a 60 gal spray tank in the back ![]() Edited by tooth and nail 7/3/2017 19:45

North Central South Dakota | It depends what kind of terrain you are driving on. UTV's are made to go through mud, snow, rocky, rough ground. A mini truck isn't made for this kind of use.

Looked at an offering of them a few years ago, Of course, the 4X4 and diesel was the premium cat.. But I couldn't make myself pay that for a used machine, which smelled like a pool hall. The smoke film I swear was an inch thick!! What the heck do they smoke over there?!?!
