Subject: Driveway alarm questions

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with driveway alarm systems? I'm looking for one that's wireless. It only needs one sensor and one receiver. I'd like a sensor that can detect a vehicle on the other side of a chain link fence. The fence runs next to the driveway about four feet to the side of it. I'd like a sensor that can be outside the fence maybe 100 feet away in some trees, that can transmit to the receiver inside a cinder block building about 200 yards away. Does anyone know a good system for that sort of situation?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!
David

Had the cheap Dakota alert units for years. Worked great. Got the more expensive Murs system and they are junk.

I have heard that the Mier system is really good but a bit pricey.

Not sure about the 100' for sensing, but ours has transmitted to house 1300', line of sight, for years.  Second sensor uses a different tone, which is also nice.  Both transmitters are close to driveway.  I did have to mount the house receiver right next to a window since our walls are sheathed in double aluminum styrofoam insulation.
Hope this helps.  Stetts
