Catlin Il | Looking to buy a good gravel drag that I can pull with my Ranger. I've seen a couple here and there that claim to be able to do a fantastic job but the pictures look like the gravel hasn't been down out of a truck for more than a half hour. Would like to be able to cut just a little off the top and displace into the lower holes in the drive. Does anyone have a recommendation?

nw MN | Drag a used feeder house chain. Slats down more aggressive, slats up for smoothing. You can even pull at an angle and it will move gravel side to side.

If drive is hard - there isn't much of anything that will really cut. . . . If you get out after a good soaking rain - something heavy with sharp cutting edges will drag something up. If you want cheap, as posted above - a feeder house chain. Incorporate a heavy I beam or channel iron. You want to purchase - I'd recommend these . . . http://www.hflfabricating.com/default.html http://www.drivewaygroomer.com/ http://www.abiattachments.com/driveway-road-grader/gravel-rascal-atv-driveway-grader/

Sw mn | Built in a couple of hours and works great. All out of 3/8" angle. Pull it when soft after a rain. (NCM_0004.JPG) Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Texas | Anything that significantly cuts into the gravel isn't going to be able to be pulled by a ranger. I pull a chain harrow behind a UTV for dressing our gravel areas but when I need to cut out potholes etc I use a road boss with a 100hp tracked skid steer.

Ohio | I bought a 4 foot box blade that goes on the 3 point of a small tractor. Put a frame and tires out the back and then a hitch out the front and a implement jack to control height. Pull it with my ranger. Works awesome. Levels stones and dirt perfect. I will try and get a picture of it later for ya.

EC NE | If you angle these & use a hydraulic top-link (or crank the manual top-link) to tip it forward a little, it'll shape the crown in a driveway. I rarely use a blade anymore. :-) https://www.deere.com/en_US/products/equipment/frontier_implements/l... Gotta have a 3-point, but it works great in gravel! Edited by tech5201 10/3/2016 08:46

White Stone, Virginia | Couple of old I beams and some scrap iron ought to make a pretty good one. You can add a scarifier just by putting a bar with teeth on it between the beams so that you can rotate it to lower the teeth. Youtube has lots of videos you can check out to get some ideas.
