Iowa | I am looking at buying an 1968 Oliver 1650 gas on an auction. It is in good original condition with 5200 hrs. My grandpa bought the tractor new so I would like to buy it. It has a westendorf loader on it that is sold with it. My question is, what is it worth? I really don't have a use for it but would like to have it for sentimental reasons. Just trying to get an idea on the value. Thanks |

SE wisconsin | I don't know the actual value, but is is worth more to you than anyone else. Buy it! In the big picture if it brings $500 dollars more than it's worth is it going to break you? It was grandpas, buy it! |

SW “Ohia” | custom spray,
Around here it would vary from $4,000 to $7,000 depending on condition.
Loader would put it towards the top end.
It was Grandpa's. Get it bought and you'll never regret it.

NE Ohio | Two on Craigs List a month ago. $2000 and $2800 asking price. |

Sourthern WI | Gas hurts it. $5k tops unless it's absolutely cherry with new rubber. My guess is $4k will get it bought unless Olivers are a hot item in your area. |

Lynd Minnesota | How much will you regret not buying it in a few years.?? You have a once in a lifetime chance ...I go for it...
You could probley get 1/3 your money back selling the loader (if you do not want to keep it )
Good luck and please keep us posted |

South Central Illinois | The loader may add value if it was not used much. All the shifting and clutching does not add value to a loader tractor. Fuel cost is double with gas if it is worked hard. $5000.00 may buy it. |

| Your right about the loader, I'd never buy a tractor if I knew it had a loader on it. In this case I'd make an exception though. |

Ontario's West Coast , Huron County | I can see why you would like to know a value on the tractor but the bigger question is what sentimental value is it worth to you . That question only you can answer . It is never easy to put a limit on what it is worth to you . Hope you have the winning bid . |

NW KS/ SC ID | If you are absolutely positive that it was your grandpa's tractor he bought new, that gives you a complete exemption from wise purchasing decisions. :) get it bought, you will hate yourself if you didnt.
It does help that its a 50 series Oliver, even if you paid 10 grand it would be worth it, they are damn good tractors.
Like said above, if you have no use for the loader, you can recoup quite a bit of $ selling it. |
