Bought a gator back in August and would like to set up a sprayer before spring. Show me some of ya'll's that u have built. I'm not interested in buying an expensive rig for this. How big of a tank can it handle and what sort of pump have ya'll used? Thanks.

Here's ours, it has a 150 gal tank with 30' booms and the walking axles are revers able to go from 120" to 90". The Kubota pulls it decent.

Slicker than a Yes album.
Friends have one of these. No more crappy elec pump or small 20 gal capacity.

We built one nearly the same.  I like your walking axles, but on a smaller sprayer may not be necessary.  The wide wheel stance is good too.    We pull ours with a 900 Kabuta too.  I put the tank on the Kabuta though.  I was concerned with tongue weight with it on the sprayer, and traction pulling lit if it was on the sprayer

We are using a Micro-Trak controller now, after using it the first year.  Difficult to hold speed constant using a foot throttle, and sometimes uneven ground, terraces etc

I built this small sprayer for yards and barn lots . I have a Honda motor with a hypo roller pump 130 gallon tank. Booms are 15 foot wide.

Nice sprayer ! I really like your attention to detail to paint it and decal it . My projects like that are usually functional but never quite finished .

How do you like your PopeMobile-esque cab for the Gator? Do you miss the stamped steel back? We use ours to clamp shovel, flag holders, etc to it. A full cab would be nice, but don't need the Gator that much in the winter.

I used some pieces and parts to make mine.

60 Gallon Tank
Electric Pump, I would have to look at the specs.
TeeJet 744E Boom Section Controller, it controls 3 sections, plus a small servo valve and pressure gauge.
All of this mounted to an old pallet that is cut to size for the gator bed with the tailgate up. ALot of times I store it on a trashcan or table so I can load it by myself, its not heavy just big.

20foot X fold booms. the booms fit into the receiver hitch. The booms I can easily install by myself. I basically took an old pull type sprayer boom with some cutting/welding.
I also have the ability to switch over to the hose reel and use the handheld gun. It works great for barnlots, buildings, and fences.
I bought most of my spray parts through Fast, but I am able to spray 10gallon an acre around 5mph. I mostly use it to spray my yard. Which is very large 6-8 acres.
Spend a few extra bucks and get the spring/check valve style tips. Pretty much eliminates dripping.

Collegeboy, I like the cab the only complaint I have when it's dry and dusty the dust will roll up inside to much , I just blow it out with leaf blower . You still seem to get covered. Have always wondered if other brands do that too.

We have a 40 gallon tank and 12' boom from Big R that works really well. It runs an electric pump and has a hand wand also. The boom is going to be rebuilt this winter to make it more sturdy and go to 15' so I can do some post spraying in my test plot and cover 6 rows. I think the total cost was $4-500 and its a really clean set up.

John deere makes a nice one that fits in a gator. It's probably cheaper than trying to build and engineer one yourself. Mines 5 years old with no problems.
