Owens Cross Roads, AL | I am thinking about buying one for the farm, and the one I've looked at are the 3000psi-4gpm unit on wheels or the 4000psi-4gpm unit on skids. Anybody own one of these? If so, how do like it? Wilson

Pine City, MN | We got one that we spray down our milking parlor 3 times a day. It works ok for the most part, but I'm sure there are better ones out there. People at Northern are a real pain to deal with. I would look else where.

SW Illinois | We have the one on wheels ands been very good to us. We did have a hose blow out under warranty and they were very quick to send us a new one.

West KY | I have the 3000 psi model. It's been great. Had a cold northstar washer before this one for 19 years. It still works good. But the hot washer is the one we use all the time.

NE KS | Got a 15 year old Northstar bought used and worked great till this spring. Burner wouldn't work, called northern they didn't know sheet from shine-ola about it. Figured out that a Northstar washer was made by Aladdin, got a hold of them. trouble shot it to a bad igniter sent a new one and it works great. If you get one from them make sure it is manufactured by Aladdin so you have an outlet for parts or help. Im sure Hotsy is the best, but I would go with another northstar, for what I do.

A person who changes oil on their car, maybe changes a sparkplug in a mower and puts together a dollhouse likely sees no reason to own a $150 3/8 ratchet when a $10 can do the same thing for the little they need it. At the same time someone making a living working on stuff will get far more than $150 value out of the ratchet. Same applies to pressure washers, especially on here. There are those who just use them to wash off equipment after planting and after harvest. Nothing wrong with that, thats all they need it for. Then there are some livestock farms that will use them to sanitize buildings when animals get moved. Theres people who make a living running them all day too. If you do not put a ton of hours on one, then the price savings are worth it. If its something you depend on, maybe look around. Personally I got fed up fixing pressure washers every time I needed to use one. We use ours for washing down barns and hutches as well as washing equipment frequently due to mud, manure and snow. The more you use them, the more they can break. The best washers will still break, the best warranty is no good if you have to fix it yourself. Unless you have the time and patience. I had Hotsy start doing all of the work on our other pressure washers and when it came time for a new one, they got the sale. They would fix any brand though and carry almost every part on the truck. Are you sure you want 4,000psi? 1,500psi is plenty for cleaning equipment. If that pressure and flow is what you are looking for, a 1400 series could work nice. We put one in last fall. I like how everything is hidden so people dont adjust things or try to fix things. Edited by durallymax 6/26/2014 23:31

Manila, Ar | The reason Hotsy carry's parts for all hot water pressure washers is because the mechanical parts are all the same.........:)

Wi | earp - 6/27/2014 20:12 The reason Hotsy carry's parts for all hot water pressure washers is because the mechanical parts are all the same.........:) Yes most of them all are, they carry some not on their machines as well if they are common parts specific to other brands. It's not easy to find a brand specific shop willing to work on any brand regardless of if they are the same or not.
