Subject: ATV Tires

Looking for suggestions on a reputable place online to buy ATV tires. Such a thing as blemished ATV tires ?

Pretty good sticker shock on what they are asking for some of them too just like all tires lately.

Don't need anything with wildly aggressive tread just a overall good tire that could handle some softer muddier situations on occasion.

Seem to have a somewhat oddball rear size that limits what is available.

Rear is a 25x12x10 on a Polaris 400 4x4

Not impressed with Dunlop's  longevity

Anyone have experience with Kenda Tires like a K530 ?

Anyone have experience dealing with with bikebandit.com ?

Opinions and links would be appreciated.

Have had good luck with a tractor-type bar tread atv tire on back of our 2wd Hondas that get daily use checking cattle. I can check brand and get back to you.

We run all Honda's here and surprisingly the best deals I got on tires the last couple of times was at the Honda store. Put originals on and they wear good. Fronts are always junk by 2500 miles, but rears last forever if they don't get holes in them. I actually have the original rear tires on my '04 Rancher with 8500 miles on it.

One trick I use is going to the local farm store and buying the green Slime and put a half bottle in each tire, then re-fill with air. Any little leak gets stopped up - won't stop a big nail leak but for small stuff it works.

I just ran out to the shop at lunch, old rear tires are Bridgestones and the new "original" fronts are original style but are Carlisle so I kinda lied. They are wearing good anyway but not a lot of use yet and they were priced competitively at the Honda dealer.

This is a good source of ATV tires. The Sedona line is a ATV tire that is built for long life.

Check with a few tire shops, most the city folk need the fanciest most expensive tires when they buy their ATV's so they head immediately to a tire shop and get the brand new ones removed.  I've bought several more or less brand new take offs for $100 a set in recent years.  At that price it doesn't matter if they only last a year or two.

We really like the Sedona ripsaw; however we are putting them on an Polaris ranger and not on a quad. They have very deep, long wearing lugs. They are heavy, but tough.

We bought a Kenda Bear Claw for our Mule and are surprised at how well we like such an aggressive tire. Not as noisy as we thought.

I run the Kenda Executioner's, its the only tire I'll have. 6ply, plus a nice rim guard, great tread wear.
They may be a little aggressive for you though. I got mine on Amazon.

+1on the executioners. Use them on the farm and then mount up the STI black diamonds during the winter.

I would highly recommend the Kenda Bear Claws in 6 ply rating. We have had a set on a 500 4WD Honda since it was new ,it now has 1400 hrs on the clock, been very impressed with wear.

As another poster said we put a tube of slime in each tyre and so far flats are very rare in fairly rugged conditions here in Australia.

If you know anyone around that works on ATVs they might have take offs where someone bought new tires and wheels. Folks like shiny wheels and big tires and will pull a new set off to get them. Your size may make that a problem but not sure.

I don't know if you can still get them or not and in your size but the Swamp Witch tires I have have been a long life tire.

I put kenda bear claws on my 07 foreman. I went one size taller and one size wider than stock. I actually lost some road speed with the taller tires. They dig like crazy but the 6 ply tires ride like crap and I have almost no air in them. The factory tires ride much nicer. Must be getting old when I like a cushy ride!

atv tires are spendy. I would look at GBC Grim Reapers. I put a set on. They are 8ply radials with rim guard. They ride nice, wear great, and dig great also. Will but these again.
