Does anyone know who makes a trailer like this in the US?

This brand is made in Canada, i'm looking for something similar but maybe 12,000 - 15,000 lb capacity. New or used is fine.

Thanks

These guys have big ones. They might make a small one.

MidSota trailers - Avon Mn, makes them and has been making them for many, many years (previously, under the Sands trailer brand).   http://www.midsotamfg.com/pages/OffHighway-FarmDumpTrailers
Here's the other guy, up the road a bit further, that makes a similar farm rock trailer also . . .  http://stcloud.craigslist.org/grq/4214935986.html

Keep in mind, most of these trailers originated for hand picking rocks - so they are more low profile, for the kids (if you can find them) to get those rocks over the edge.

We made our own. Took an old dump truck, cut out the eng/trans, cab and made a hitch. Rigged up a PTO shaft and it works great. Don't have a picture right now.

Farming in NW Iowa

These are mostly meant to pull behind a truck but they would probably have a clevis hitch available.

just like centerplate said we had a dike project a few years back bought a couple old dump trucks that blew up cut off front axle ripped off the cab pulled motor and tranny bent the frame together and made the hitch and the worked slick and a lot cheaper than the ones in the picture

Kingston,Mi
Search Http://www.pronovost.qc.ca./remha.html , they build tandem axle trailers for farm use at 15,000 to 16,000 pounds that will tip 3 directions (depending on which hinges/latches are employed). Dealer for NE Iowa and Wisconsin is listed as Dave Balts in Chetek and his phone is 715-837-1427.

Made my own, old cabover IH straight truck frame. 18'X8' box with 4ft tall sides, 1/4" plate for the floor 3/16" for the sides. Use it mainly for hauling old concrete but also works good for stockpiling manure or hauling gravel.

I made my own as well. Removed the cab, engine, trans, & front axle from an old dump truck and folded the frame together. I added an I beam between the motor mounts as a cross member and another I beam perpendicular to the new cross member coming forward to mount my hitch to. I extended the hoses and added the right ends for the cylinder (used 2 because on the truck it used the down stroke side as a reservoir and didn't want to run the tractor dry). I also added a small cylinder to gate latches so I can control the gate from the tractor cab.

iseedit what is the idea for the PTO, some kind of power assist in soupy ground?

central - east central Minnesota -

I didn't post the pic's and info on the PTO home made jobber . . . . I would guess, PTO to run self contained unit. This would elemanate contimanating the tractors hydraulic system. There are lots of truck hoist, that do not run tractor hydrualic fluids.

I understand that then. I worked my bed up and down with the bobcat with the hoses off to get as much of the old fluid out of the cylinder as possible then stuck a long air gun in to blow the rest out. I've seen 5-6 old grain trucks turned into trailers like this and never could understand the transmission hooked to the PTO. I suspected that the truck didn't put out near the pressure as a tractor hydraulics so they were afraid of blowing the packing out of the cylinder.

Nova Scotia
most are hooked to pto pump due to your tractor does not have enough oil to push up a larger 4 stage hoist.
