Findlay, Ohio | Anybody using a California Car Duster to clean your combine cab windows ?

West Tennessee | Every day we run it for about 10 or more years now. I'm on my second one after the plastic handle deteriorated in the first one. Also use one to keep the Vette free of dust in the garage. Works great for both. Edited by BHTN 10/4/2013 21:09

New Madrid, MO | Yep, works great. Keep one in the cab at all times. Use it on the windows a couple times a day, esp right before dark. Works good on lights too.

I use one for my collector car, but for the combine I use a big bath towel. The huge amount of dirt and dust is too much for the duster.

Just got one about a week ago. Wipe them with it before it rains or the dew gets on them and they are crystal clear. Have not cleaned the windows with a paper towel since I got it. Works awesome

Centralia, MO | Yes. I got one many years ago when I saw one on a classic car show. Remember the show with the guy with the big handlebar mustache?

Dalhart, TX | Yep, been using one 10+ years. Clean them good before harvest and they're good most harvest. I also keep a mini in my tractors especially for the gps screens

New Iberia la (Cajun country) | I bought one from wal mart but it seems to have oil or something on it . I don't know if it was from something I did but it makes swirls on my windows for some reason. Does work well thoigh

Northeast, NE | Did you let it air out for 48 hours like the directions say before first use? I just bought 3 from Bomgaars (our local Farm and Fleet, Tractor Supply, Orschelins type of store) one for the combine, one for the trucks, and one for my wife's vehicle.

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | I use one. Are they all the same? The one I have would be easier to use if the duster head didn't flop around on the end of the pole...if it was fastened solid, it goes sideways/horizantal then flips vertical on the pole.

central Ia | Cleaned my windows with Honda cleaner polish first now just use the duster and it works better to clean the windows when your done at night before they get wet

Pilot Grove, Missouri | Had to buy a new one last week. I guess I forgot to get it out from behind the seat of my trade in before the dealer picked it up. Patrick

Chebanse, IL..... | We have used the genuine CALIFORNIA DUSTER for many yrs after reading about them here on NAT! Another NAT victory! We use both the full size & minis. If they get so grotey that you can't stand the looks of them, throw them away & start again. We use them on windows & interiors alike. Use them on show tractors also. No scratches!

Chebanse, IL..... | I know what you mean about "grime". If that exists, then use the Duster first to remove the loose dust, then come back w/window cleaner spray & let it soak a minute on the window & wash w/rags.

Washington Co Ks | I got one this year after seeing so much good said about them on here. Works great, wish I'd gotten one a long time ago. Doesn't just push the dust around as a towel does. It is so easy to give the windows a quick wipe down at the end of the day while the dust is loose. I also used Rain-x after washing the windows good before starting harvest. I think that has helped to keep the dust from sticking.

You can pay for one real quick in windex and paper towels. They still need scrubbing from time to time.

SW Iowa | yep, I have one in the combine cab to wipe down the windows in the afternoon when the sun starts to glare in the windows. It does have an unpleasant odor, though, that permeates through the cab. Perhaps keeps the mice out?

Nevada, Iowa | It is probably mentioned elsewhere in this thread and it was mentioned the other day - no matter how tired you are, dust them off every night.

sw corner ia. | ..with compressed air. I still have to use elbow grease every couple of days but I can't stand squinting through dirty glass.

NE SD | Do not buy the cheapie knock off ones from walmart. I did and does not work nearly as good.
