Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | When I bought a grain truck a few years ago the radio was out so I replaced it with one that I had lying around. That radio has since lost its volume control due to dust I think. In looking through my shelves I came up with a Delcro radio that was originally in a Deere 7700 tractor. Unfortunately I didn't mark the wires when I snipped them to put in a fancier radio. Does anyone have the wring pattern for this radio? I can make some educated guesses as I assume that the orange wires are for the speakers. There would need to be a switched power, constant power, ground and probably a power antenna trigger which I wouldn't need. Red for power and black for ground would be my guess. Any help would be appreciated. (Delco Radio.jpg) (Delco Radio Back.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Delco Radio.jpg (32KB - 165 downloads) Delco Radio Back.jpg (40KB - 141 downloads)

Sw Ks | Wouldn't bet the world on it but guessing the orange wires are speakers, the small red memory and the large red switched power and the black ground not sure about brown another option is look in your 7700

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Seems reasonable to me. I don't have the 7700 handy and didn't really want to take it apart.

Central Illinois | Ted, slow connection this AM but do a Google search for DIN radio wiring. Color of wire is not as reliable as standardized position of the terminals. Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Thanks for the replies. None of the drawings or other Internet searches seems to match my radio. If I proceed I plan on assuming the orange wires are for speakers and thr red for power with the black being ground. I don't know the purpose of the brown wires. It might be safer to open up the 7700 tractor to reverse engineer what I did when I installed the other radio but my nephew now owns the tractor and it is used for livestock everyday. Central Illinois | Ted, unless I missed something, your radio has the same two (2) 8-pin connectors as my pictures. Are yours not numbered the same ? Also it seems your fuse is missing or you removed it for the pictures. Steve

NE SD | I think the image below is probably correct. It has one of the brown wires listed as illumination. (image.jpg) Attachments ---------------- image.jpg (67KB - 98 downloads)

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Thanks again. The diagram seems to agree with my thinking. The tractor and truck only have one pair of speakers so one orange pair goes to each. The color coding on the switched power, constant power and ground make sense. One brown was probably for lights which I'm not concerned about. As far as the fuse, it may have stayed with the 7700 or possibly was fused through the fuse panel. An inline fuse would be a good idea.

Central Illinois | Ted, are the terminals not there in the radio chassis for a blade fuse to the right of the 8-pin connectors? Steve

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | steve c-il - 7/23/2013 14:28 Ted, are the terminals not there in the radio chassis for a blade fuse to the right of the 8-pin connectors? Steve There is a cavity to the right of the of the 8 pin connectors that has terminals in it. This is probably for a blade fuse as you suggest. I don't remember if there was a fuse there originally or not - Probably so. I don't know why I would have removed the fuse but that was several years ago. Thanks again. The project is on hold at the moment. Edited by tedbear 7/24/2013 07:43
