Does anyone have any experience with this one? They say the diamond tipped blade lasts 100x longer than an abrasive blade. I also like the fact that it doesn't throw so many sparks.

Sometimes I need to make a lot of small pieces. Grinder doesn't cut straight enough and band saw takes too long. This thing seems like it should have a home on my workbench. What say you?

I got one about 5 years ago. I loved it at first - except for needing industrial strength ear muffs as this thing absolutely screams. I was cutting some 1/4" angle one day and lost a few carbide teeth. After replacing the blade - which was half the cost of the saw - I hardly use it anymore, just because of cost of blade. I save it for those pretty, straight, burr free cuts you need 5 times a year.

I got one also about 5 years ago I like it for cut big stuff you need to wear ear protection. When you cut small stuff the drop off if it is small if you dont have a hold of it with a pliers it will wing it clear across the shop when you complete the cut. I still have my Mikitia cut off saw next to it they both have there place.

Mike, a lot of good advice, had one, rpm is slower than a std chop saw, ear protection and gloves are a must, metal slivers all over, need to cut slow or blade won't last, if you want to use it for a shop saw, don't waste your time, Scott.

I've had mine since 05 and love it. Yes there are a few things an abrasive disc cutter works better on but this thing is mean and has cut whatever I have put under it.

Thanks you guys. I never considered the noise level, although I don't think it would shy me away from the saw. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a sale.
