Subject: Topcon laser, where to get repaired

I have a Topcon RL-H1Sa laser that got left on when put away. Will not move now. Can hear it hum when I turn it on...gears striped or motor buned out? I am in MN, is there any place to have it repaired?

Thanks

Might be other independant survey supply shops in the area that can help you.

Try calling AG Express in Des Moines & see if they can fix it. 515-289-2746. Their address is 6280 NE 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50313

I had a RLHS-1 that had a bearing going bad in the head and the motor was starting to cause some troubles, sent it in to Mid Tech in Iowa. They informed me that Topcon no longer made many of the parts for that particular laser. They were happy to sell me a new one though!

This unfortunately can happen pretty regular if it isnt double checked after shutting off- nothing wrong except it reatched the end of threads on internal screw that self levels-can be fixed in a few minutes with screwdrivers-remove top cover and study it a minute and u will see a long screw to turn with a screwdriver-do it with the unit on and it will take over after backing screw off end of threads. I would double check calibration afterward but have never had it out of calibration because of this.Ph 309/645/3365-Marvin
