Is there a way to watch movies from  a website like movie2k on a apple TV?

I don't know.  We pretty much just watch Netflix and Youtube.  Amazon has streaming video but I'm told AppleTV won't work with it either.

Not directly. AppleTV does not have a web browser. If you can get a movie from the site downloaded and converted into a format that is recognizable by the A-TV, it would work.

Another option - if you have an iPad 2 (won't work with 1) - you can screen mirror the iPad to A-TV. Unless the movie is in Flash, put it to running on the iPad and mirror the screen to the TV. ;)
