By my handy pocket reference, 1 gallon US liquid is 0.10742 US bushels. So there are 5.9081 bushels in 55 gallons, which, at 56 pounds per bushel, is 330.85 pounds.

Northeast Louisiana		Didn't have the formula like Gerald, but we always figure about 6 bushels.
