The equatorial waters in the pacific are warming according to the latest ENSO update issued today which points to the end of this current La Niña episode.

 The model projections have varied recently with risks of slipping back into a La Niña.. they can come back to back.. but subsequent updates continuing to move away from that projection.. for now.  Are we out of the woods???  Time will tell but for now the forecast looks less scary.
