western iowa,by Denison | Last week we ended up-well I guess the big 4 ended up $10 on choice box with basic same cost on fats
Choice for the week average box price was around $314-ending Friday at$316.94-with prefabricate price around $190
A new goal I guess as a farmer would be to take a feeder calf in at say $800 feed it for $800 with a cost of $1600 and have a sale of $2400
600,000 fats for the week would put 600,000x $800 about $480,000,000 million into the hands of beef producers per week
Drizzle here at Westside ,Iowa
will be giving implants and c&d shots this week to pens 1,2,4,5 and pen 7.Around 400 head
The green alfalfa is helping on my rations of just 2# per head ,think there is lots more vitamins and mineral in that over grass hay
Chopper number 4-3960 with used 7ft hay head is almost ready to roll-we have 4 pull types ready-the arsenal is a 4720-with 9ft hay head-3975 with 7ft,3970 with 7ft,and a 3960 with a 7ft
We hope to start Thursday by Manning Iowa and then head north on rye with about 150 acres then on to hay with around 50 acres and then on to oats.
