Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | Not sure where to put this. I was sitting in the shade eating lunch recently when I noticed a squirrel in a tree. He didn't look like most squirrels I've seen. These are all "town squirrels." Lots of oak, pecan, cypress, and hickory trees, plus the pet food they steal that people leave out. He was a bit on the small side compared to other squirrels around here. His head didn't look just right to me and his tail wasn't nearly as bushy as most squirrels. What I was wondering is this. Is there any way that a squirrel could cross breed with a rat? They are both rodents so doesn't that make them cousins or something? |
