mascoutah, IL | Have a couple hundred acres of emerged corn that was planted 3-4 weeks ago. Only a few inches tall. Not bad yet on weeds but a few emerged. Been cold and cloudy here so been spraying my unemerged corn. Running home made lexar with some roundup and insecticide. The next 5 days are highs in the low to mid 60s and lows in the low to mid 40s. Mostly cloudy all week. Neighbor sprayed some similar to mine a few days ago. I know there was meso in the tank and it bleached it pretty good. Next weekend and beyond looks much warmer but chances of rain for 7 days in a row. I’m not a fan of stressing the corn any more than I have to but in my neighborhood it can get wet for a month at a time. Been there done that. What would you do? | |
