East central Iowa | I asked if anybody had purchase an carburetor on eBay or Amazon for a JD 318. The isavetractors didn't have a carburetor and their search engine needs a lot of improvement.
So, I took off the carburetor and that was probably the biggest part of the job.
Using spray carburetor cleaner, acetone, air and hot water I was successful in cleaning the carburetor. It now runs like new. No new gaskets, no new parts of any kind. It's a very simple carburetor.
