Subject: Killing cereal rye

Southern Illinois
My son wants to plant corn green into cereal rye. It is partially headed out and with the forecast calling for more rain, will probably be headed out by the time we plant. Is Roundup still the best option to use to kill it right after planting or would Gramoxone be a better choice?
