Subject: Forks bent inward on Westendorf 3-point forklift

swmn
I bought the forklift a few years ago knowing the forks were bent inward. Price was right and it's worked satisfactorily. It does make me a little nervous though in terms of stability when the load isn't well balanced or could shift some like a 40 unit mini-bulk bag. 19" between forks where attached and 14" between at the ends. The slight bend is in the frame, almost imperceptible, not in the forks. Could a hydraulic jack be used between the forks to spread them back apart or is that taking too big a risk of damaging the frame or breaking welds? TIA
