Subject: Salford BBI Spreader plug to tractor hydraulic requirements

North Carolina
I'm looking at a 10ft box Salford BBI grasshopper or magnaspread fert/lime applicator.

25k for a plug to tractor spinner and floor chain drive or 35k for a self contained pto hydraulic.

Salford BBI man says you need 50gpm to run it. 20 for floor chain and 30 for spinners. Specs in literature say 42gpm and old video by bbi on youtube says 2 remotes at 21gpm at 2000psi.

Sales guy will say anything so you write the check, then they walk away. So looking for some information input.

I'm running two case ih magnums 225cvt and 210 powershift with pro 700 monitor. Book says they have 40gpm but no pressure is listed.

Spread at 5 to 6 mph max, I cant bounce around in cab with my back.
Spreading lime at 1000 lb acre
Spreading landplaster on peanuts at 2000lb acre
Spreading fertilizer at 150 to 300lb an acre

Anybody with knowledge related to running a spreader with plug to tractor hydraulics to run floor chain and spinners tell me the good and bad please.

Do you need the 50gpm to make it work properly with what I am doing?
Is there oil heating issues?
Thankyou for your responses
