| Not sure how long this will go on but heard one of our main suppliers for nitrogen out of oklahoma was down because of low gas pressure.. or high acquisition costs.. or.. they could make more reselling their booked natural gas back to the system.
So far UAN prices are up about $100 / ton vs bookings offered this winter.
We’re living off of stored supplies.. but the spike in spot natural gas prices is having ramifications than just for utilities.
Remember that a spike in Natural Gas prices in the early 2000’s lead to significant shuttering of domestic fertilizer plants.
Texas rolling blackouts were a weak up call.. probably more of the same headed our direction unless changes are made.. the backup natural gas generations drained the system.. as they struggled to pick up the load.
