Zabcikville, TX | One of our dogs ran away 3 weeks ago tomorrow. A sweet, funny little daschund mix. Best mousing dog I've ever seen. I let him out when I got home on Feb.1 so he could run around for awhile, just like he always did, never saw him again.............until this morning! I had gone to my pickup to get something and noticed something beside the house. So I walked over and it was him!!!!! Dirty, extremely thin, and weak. Of course, I quickly scooped him up and ran inside. And told my wife "Quigley's home!!!!!" She, of course bursts into tears of joy. After a good bath, a little food and water (giving him pedialyte now too) he's doing better. He will be going to the vet tomorrow for a checkup, and advice on how to nurse him back to health. How did he survive 3 weeks? ESPECIALLY last weeks weather of lows in the single digits, ice, snow, then more ice?? He's got a way to go, but he's alive. I just can't believe he survived.
