Subject: Canola help

SW Montana
Thinking of trying canola for the first time this year. We will be using a great plains drill with 6" spacing and wondering if we will be fine with that or if we should plug every other hole and go on 12" spacing. It will be going into worked ground. This will be under pivot irrigation and was told to shoot for 4-5 lbs per acre of seed. Considering using Photosytech 101 seed. Anyone used this variety? I believe it is an antishatter, conventional variety.
