Central IA | Has anyone seen these commercials online, or TV? I just saw one on YouTube, and was floored. The premise is that the US had to slap tariffs on foreign phosphate companies, due to "unfair" trade, and that the US needs to rely on US phosphorous. Mind you, this is after the price of phosphorus fertilizers has essentially doubled in many places in the last handful of months. Obviously, with the run up in commodity prices, input prices were going to rise to cash in. But phosphorus has REALLY jumped.
I honestly couldn't believe my eyes/ears. So I did 10 seconds worth of googling, and found this. Lol, you can't make this up. Don't mind paying drastically more for phosphorus, boys. Mosaic is making record profits- er, I mean, you're saving America!
