Subject: Y dropping 28%

West Central MN
I'm planning to build some poor man's y drops to use instead of topdressing urea on corn this year. We are a small farm and I don't foresee having trouble getting across the acres in time. So here's my question. Would watering down the 28 in half make it soak Into the ground better and help protect it from volitilization? Or am I way off in my thinking? I'm not afraid of the added filling time if it protects my nutrients.
